The rug is wool oriental area rug about 8′ x 10′ that has developed a curled edge down the long side in the center of the edge. How can I get it to lay flat again? This is fairly recent within the last 2 months. Thank you for any help.

My mom spilled coffee on her expensive oriental rug! She is going to get it cleaned, but the cleaners are closed today. It’s a dark red rug with some light trim, and the coffee that was spilled did not contain sugar but did have a small amount of half-and-half. She is blotting it, but wants to make sure that the coffee doesn’t stain any more than it has to in the 24 hours until the cleaners can get here.

Any advice on how to improve the cleanliness of the rug without doing damage?

In the Zagros mountains, west of the city of Isfahan around the city Shahr-e-Kurd, reside the Bakhtiar nomads. Most of them speak Persian or a Lori dialect, while others who live in the Khuzestan province speak Arabic. Bakhtiar men wear wide pants, a round shaped hat and a short tunic, clothes which originate as far back as the Parthian dynasty (200 BC- 200 AC).
